John Isacc Lindley fled to Ireland in 1641 after spending much time in an English prison under King James (of the King James bible) for being a Puritan. (according to our family records). I met a person a few months ago who was involved with royal marriages and such in Great Britain and he told me that Lindley was a Welsh name, and that we are related to the Royal House of Wales.

It is sad that most policeman here in Southern Indiana hate for us moveins to listen to them. My ham ticket and the FCC online database saves the day. We are still a free country, thank God for that. The earliest records I have date back to Mass Bay Colony, 1640's where Captain Richard Woody is mentioned. Does anyone have any more definite links to England?
