    Westmont Baptist Church was founded in 1959 and is located 7 miles west of downtown Birmingham, Alabama. It is in the unincorporated community known as Minor.    Minor High School was first built here in 1921 and was moved to Adamsville in 1988.

    The following picture was taken in June of 1962. It is a picture of the first bible school participants when bible school was held in the new building. Notice that the ground in the foreground of this picture is dirt. You can't see the parking lot but I am sure it was dirt too.
