As the name implies the fairtax is fair. It is the best plan ever presented on the subject. What could be more fair? When you spend money you pay taxes. The people who make and spend more pay more in taxes. The rate that has been mentioned is 22%, and that scares some people. The fact is that amount is already imbeded in every product we buy today. So, the effect will be the same tax and the same revenue for the federal government.
